Your account

What is yours as a person — your profile, the language we speak to you in, how you sign in and the tours

View as Markdown

Everything about you — as opposed to your organization or its applications — lives under your picture, in the top bar. It opens as a sheet over whatever you were doing, in two tabs.

General

Identity and contact

Your display name is yours to edit; the rest identifies you to your team. Your email anchors the account, so changing it goes through our team rather than a pencil.

Language

The language of the Console and of every email we send you — the sign-in codes included. Switching it at the top of the screen saves it here, and the other way round.

Theme

Light, dark, or the system’s. With an application selected, the Console can also wear that application’s own colours.

Tours

Every screen opens a short guided tour the first time. Restart the tours forgets what you have seen, welcome included, so each screen shows its tour again.

Security

1

How you sign in

Your password, when it was last changed, and your last sign-in. Change password starts here; forgotten ones go through Recover my password on the sign-in screen, exactly as on your first access.

2

The second factor

At least once every 24 hours, signing in also asks for a short code sent to your email. It is on for every account and there is nothing to enrol — which is why the row simply says Email.

3

Your organizations

The organizations you hold a seat in, with your role in each — what a seat is, and why it is not a key, is on organizations, applications and users.

4

Account state

When your account first signed in and when it last did.

Deleting your account is at the bottom of this tab, in the danger zone. It locks the account at once and erases it after 30 days; within that window our team can still bring it back if you ask. Your organization and its applications are untouched — users are the optional piece.

Locked out? An account can be locked by your organization’s manager or by our team, and the Console says so on a screen of its own. A locked account cannot be recovered from the sign-in screen, on purpose: only an administrator lifts a lock. Write to the person who manages your organization, or to support@infonite.tech.
